The Florida Avenue Residence is built on the remains of a three-car garage on the boundary street that originally defined the northern edge of Washington, D.C. The garage was a subdivided piece of property left in neglect for many years. On the footprint of slighly more than 1,000 square feet I designed a unique single family residence with a legal ground level unit and a one car garage.
